Turns the MacBook's notch into a small dynamic island, with a pixel bot that keeps an eye on your AI agents.
Private code
Why I built it
The Mac's notch is a gap nobody uses. I wanted to see what's playing, AirPods alerts or keep a file at hand without opening anything.
How it works
- 01Hides inside the notch and opens when you hover over it. Shows what is playing on Spotify or Apple Music, with synced lyrics.
- 02Drop a file on it to summarize it on-device with Apple Intelligence, convert images or AirDrop it. It also has a pomodoro.
- 03A pixel bot lives beside the notch: while Claude Code works it types and shows the current step; it raises a "!" when the agent needs you and celebrates when it is done.
Try it
Hover over (or tap) the notch.
Recreated for the web; the real app is native macOS.
What I learned
It was my first macOS app: AppKit, borderless windows and system events. And hooking up Claude Code through hooks that only talk to a local server taught me to touch another tool's settings without breaking anything.
